100% true. |
I guarantee you that you NEVER got sick from a flu shot. NEVER. It is impossible as the virus is dead. You may have gotten sick but it was purely a coincidence. |
Dif you get all Cedersl holidays, so should the nanny as well as day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and all holidays you receive. |
You cannot guarantee this and yiu have no right to expect anyone to have any invasive treatment. I always have a flu shot but have never had dtao and do not intend to do so. |
Diptheria (whooping cough) shots are recommended for anyone who will be in contact with infants. I wouldn't hire a nanny for a child under 1 who didn't have proof of whooping cough immunity or of their last shot. |
I can't even send my dog to a kennel or daycare without proof of vaccination. There is certainly no way I would hire a nanny who balked at the idea.
Flu, hep B, and tdap are all commonly required vaccination in all regulated fields dealing with child care (or the elderly), if nannies want to be treated as professionals they should have no problem complying with common practices. |
Absolutely not a credit check. I never understood the need to run someone's credit in order to care for children during the day. Just because someone is behind in their bills does not mean they do not have the ability to adequately care for a young child. Plus, it defeats the purpose fundamentally. If someone has bad credit and no one hires them because of that factor, well...then how do people expect them to ever earn anything to pay their bills with?? ![]() |
After having gone through painful loan / repayment cycles wth our nanny (yes I know - my fault for not refusing) I would definitely include a credit check if I were rehiring. |
You are a fool as is anyone who would hire you to care for a newborn. DTAP is booster as you have already had the vaccine. Vaccines/Shots are not "invasive". As an employer, of course you have the right to expect and demand that your employees are vaccinated. Everyone, from top surgeon to janitor, in all major hospitals are required to have vaccinations and boosters. And, with PP, I can indeed guarantee that no one ever got the flu from a flu vaccine. Absolutely 100% guarantee. It is simply impossible. |
I read once that every vaccine causes your immune system a day or two of weakness and sometimes folks catch something in that window and ascribe it to the vaccine? Is that true?
Nanny PP - I was reluctant to get the dtap shot because of an infant reaction I had to the pertussis vaccine. I waffled and worried and when I finally went in the doctor was like, "oh you had it a few years ago it's just called a tetanus shot in your file, but it was the same combo." Hahaha. No more fear for me! |
You can also pay for the vaccines and go with her if she doesn't have them. (You can do any you need at the same time.) |
You're in the medical field, perhaps even a doctor? Very odd how often people get sicker when they go into hospitals, some die as a result of infections they acquired from poor medical staff hygiene. This scares me. |
