OP, I was in your situation about 3 years ago. One of the 4 kids I cared for had ADHD as well as many other things. She hit, kicked, bit, etc. The house was also EXACTLY as you described. I made the mistake of cleaning everything and then they got used to it. I eventually left the job because I couldn't take it anymore and the family did nothing to stop the on child from being aggressive.
I'm on a roll? Get a life? What did I say in my post, that warrants me not having a life? I have a life and a darned good one. All you had to do is say what you said above instead of attacking my post. Seems like you need to get a life and stop trolling.

I am fed up with MB, DB AND their 6 year old (Presumably ADHD son). This is just a Vent/Rant...I know what I'm going to do. QUIT!! I started working for this family in July 2012. They are a extremely nice, laid back couple. First things first my contract is written that I take care of their 2 children the 6 y/o and the 21 month old and provide the basics, breakfast, lunch snack time, reading, activities, laundry for the kids, vacuuming play area. Work time was to be from 8:30a to 5:30p Monday through Friday and my pay was $400 a week when I started. MB (begged me) to accept $400 because they simply couldn't afford to pay more. MB also added Family laundry and vacuuming throughout the house. I had no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is how DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY they are. On Monday when I come to work, the house is a complete PIG STYE. Dishes with food in them from last night's dinner still on the table, the kitchen island filled with everything they used the night before, pots and pans on the stove (some containing food) sink full of dirty dishes. Wine glasses and a half dozen beer bottles all over the kitchen and family room. At first I use to come right in working, putting away, emptying out, throwing out, loading the dishwasher etc. NOW it's time to go upstairs...OMGEE!! What a nightmare. MB & DB's Master bedroom...SMH. Clothes everywhere all over the floor instead of placed in the hamper, bath towels wet & dry all over, bed linen? Let's just say TMI and this happens at least 3 days a week. Bathroom? UNBELIEVABLE!! unmentionables & sanitary thingys , toothpaste, fresh cut hair all over the sink and floor. NO. I'm not suppose to clean any of this but after seeing it like this for 4 straight days? I figured I'd help them out by cleaning it up. The very next day, it's like I never touched it.
The 6 year old is definitely in need of an evaluation for ADHD. He's defiant, RUDE and simply does not listen to anything I say without arguing me down first. He has total meltdowns when things don't go his way, he has thrown things at me and kicked at me AND he is dangerous to and jealous of his little brother. He has injured that poor baby more times than I care to mention. All by being sneaky and waiting for the opportunity once I turn my head for a second. Lets just say, I don't allow him to play with his brother anymore. He has to wait until the parents arrive home at 5:30, 5:45, 6:00,6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00,7:10. Yes, I know. What happened to 8:30 to 5:30?
I know I'm all over the place but I'm pissed. I feel like they EXPECT this of me. So for the last 2 months I have done only whats in my contract and do you think that has made a difference? NOT. I have to clean up their mess everyday, especially in the kitchen and in the family room in order to work. Was told they could only pay me $400 a week until I stopped cleaning up their house like a slave then out of no where it's upped to $450. I like working for them and love the kids but can not take the disrespect of their son any longer as well as the filthiness of this house.

Yes, this was actually in my job description. BUT. The laundry is sometimes more than I can handle. due to the fact that they( MB & DB) are BOTH slobs! Clothes on the floor EVERYDAY instead of placed in the hamper. Towels, underwear, panties etc. EVERYDAY! Not to mention that she is just plain old DISGUSTING! Eeewww!
