I actually like it. I want them to see how hard I work and how engaged I am with the baby. Plus, when he took his first steps I could tell them to go back and watch the video if they missed it. I've also asked them to check the feed before they call me to make sure the baby isn't sleeping.

I don't think about it very much anymore but honestly I like them seeing what is going on. I feel as if it is an added protection for me as well.

Ding ding ding! For the win. Good quality employees don’t mind being watched. I work in an open space on the trading floor. Why should a nanny object to a camera or a parent working from home? What is she hiding? How much she texts i stead of engaging with my child?

"I work in an open space on the trading floor? Why is she hiding? Your comments are so disgusting. I feel so sorry for your nanny; if you still have one. You are lying to yourself saying like "a Nanny feel so happy and so lucky working for you and and confortable being micromanage every single minute" lol. Even when she needs to scratch her back, blow her nose, make a quit personal call (in her 20 min of break, luckily) and you hearing every single word she says.

Keep thinking your nanny is so blessed having you as a coworker sharing the same room with you to work plus the children lol. What a nightmare. It's common sense for Great employers and Nannies; that this lead to a complete disaster.

And you are so WRONG. Good quality employees don't need to hide anything and they have all the right to feel very uncomfortable being watch all day long 8-10 Hrs a day.

Ding, ding, ding for the win lol. Yeah, right. Keep dreaming.

NANNIES:

There's a device from Amazon that you can use to search hidden cameras. It's illegal to have cameras without your consent.

Thanks for letting us know. Could you please share what's the exact name/brand of the device? So we can look at it. This could be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

I have no issues with cameras in common areas. Cameras and bathrooms and children’s bedrooms are red flags to me. The only camera I will accept in a child’s bedroom would be a single camera pointed to only cover the child’s bed. Otherwise, the camera can capture the child changing clothes, which legally is child pornography.

Good point. I’ve seen parents obsessed with watching their child’s every move. It goes way beyond safety. Super creepy.

Some parents gets turned on by watching.

I would quit or ask $40 per hour.
