I met nannies who were making 1.5 times than I was but were only require to take kids as far as the backyard and neighborhood park. They also worked less hours and did nothing for the evening care. My employers wanted me to take him everywhere under the sun ( library, playdate, museum, classes, story times, park, sprinkle spots during summer, pool, gardens, zoo, aquarium, playseum). U name it, we done it. On top of that, I used to work from 8:30-6:30 so oh yeah I gave two baths, 3 meals plus two snacks. I also cleaned home weekly, shopped and made his meals all from scratch....nothing boxed, did laundry as well.
Even though THOSE nannies didn't have that much to do, the kids sometimes looked dirty. They are like " oh m not supposed to bath her" and m like that doesn't mean you can't give her a sponge bath, comb her hair and change dirty shirt that has Gerber stain on it. I tell you this....make her work for the money she will earn. Maybe throw in something extra to do to help you out.
