Neighbors,
Our beloved nanny, Khady, who will have been an invaluable part of our family for 5 years in September, will be available for a new position starting in mid-September.
Khady began caring for our children when our oldest was just five months old, at the height of the pandemic. From that challenging time, she provided a consistent, nurturing, and stable environment for our kids, fostering their growth and development. She gets them outside, helps them burn energy, fosters independence but tows the line on important boundaries.

Why We Highly Recommend Khady
Here are some highlights of her qualities and experience that we've found invaluable:
Reliable, Highly Punctual & Agile: We've always had complete peace of mind knowing our children were in her care. Khady is incredibly reliable and has been consistently punctual in all the years she's been with us. Her commitment shone through even during challenging times: when our youngest had to go to the ER, Khady arrived early the next day to help with our older child. She has cared for them when sick. Neighbors and other caregivers ask about her when she is out and we even had a time when someone texted her to make sure our son was in good hands with a temp! While Khady keeps the boys on a consistent routine, she is also able to flex and adapt during the day if there is a holiday and it's two all day, a change in schedule for an early school pickup or navigating the complexities of work from home, return to office and the ups and downs of parents working from home. She has long been adaptable and respectful of our preferences, for example, implementing Taking Cara Babies.
Experienced with all ages, interested in babies for her next family: While Khady transitioned seamlessly into school drop-offs and managing older toddlers, she's particularly interested in babies (and one family) for her next family. She's capable at everything from administering naps to driving our toddler to school and dealing with separation anxiety and routines.
Prioritizes Safety and Well-being: During the pandemic, Khday was exceptional at finding safe ways to play outside, ensuring our children had essential outdoor time while adhering to necessary precautions. She was always willing to wear a mask when needed and made sure to get vaccinated to protect our family. Beyond COVID, she consistently prioritizes safety, like always applying sunscreen. In an emergency, she escalates at the right time and is clear. She's a firm believer in getting kids out in the rain or shine, ensuring they get fresh air and active play regardless of the weather. She enforced boundaries consistently, which has been incredibly helpful.
Community Builder and Safety Net: Khady is fantastic at creating community at the park and in the neighborhood, and we've often had other parents comment on how good she is with children. She introduced our children to the library, attending both regular and French story times, fostering a love for reading. Her deep relationships and mutual respect with other nannies allowed her to draw boundaries with other children at the park without stepping on toes, always prioritizing the safety and best interest of the children playing at the park. She also made her own adult and nanny friends, giving our kids other trusted adults who knew and cared for them, essentially building a safety net of capable, responsible adults in the neighborhood. Our children truly know everyone around the neighborhood because of her.
