Family looking for nanny share!

Hi, we're having our first kiddo born in mid-Jan 2026 and we're interested in exploring a nanny share starting in mid-June through mid-July 2026 (she'll be 5.5-6 months old). A bit early to start looking, but curious of any local families are looking for a nanny share on a similar timeline/in a similar location. Details about us below, thanks!

Looking for: Nanny share

Start date: Mid-June through mid-July 2026 (we're figuring out mat/pat leave but will have a clearer idea in the next few weeks)

Location: We're in Rockville (Twinbrook specifically), open to hosting in our home (we have a large family room space that could be used), or having the other family host.

Schedule: M-F from 8 am - 6:30 pm (approximate)

Our budget: $15-17/hour, to be paired with other family for nanny (if anyone thinks this amount isn't realistic, please let me know! We're weighing a nanny share versus a child care center).

Our child: Girl, 5.5 - 6 months old

Pets: Cat and a lab/hound mix dog. Pets will be kept separate from kids during the day (confined to a different room/crated).

Adults in the home: Dad works in Bethesda (in person) full time, Mom works from home Mondays and Fridays (Tues-Thurs in DC). No other adults live/will be at the home.
