What's the going rate for 3 kids (2 school aged and a 9 month old) in Georgetown? Also when the school aged kids are home sick or they don't have school or summer camp does the rate increase? Is $20 hourly a good rate?

Most Nannie’s prefer a set rate. It’s easier than keeping track of so many hrs etc.

$20hr especially in Georgetown was the rate ten years ago . You’re looking at $28-35hr. If you want someone with a clean background, over five years experience etc

So my offer of $20 hourly would be considered “underpay” to an experienced nanny. Correct?

New poster. I made $20 for two kids in 2013. You'd be looking at $30-35/hr today for 3 kids.

$20 in Georgetown is too low.
Do you have a parking space where she can park? Or close to metro/bus?
If you want 40 hours/FT offer $30. You don’t need to pay more during the times the older kids at home.

$20 is low anywhere, LOL, and in DMV $25 is a min for anyone calling themselves a nanny

OP you’ve posted before.
Either accept the answers you were given and offer more pay or look into alternate childcare

Yes $20 is extremely low unless you want to pay cash and a high school student

Yes, I have to agree w/the previous posters that $20/Hour (even for 3 kids!) is a very low rate.
