I recently have a job offer
Light house keeping ( the have house keeping service every week ) Light house keeping lists Washing dashes by hands ( not more then 10 to 15 pieces) Cooking following the recipes and cleaning dashes during cooking Groceries shopping less then ten items one or two times in the week Keep eye on kids so they don’t have screen time more than 30 Mins Taking kids in my car to their activities ( only one time in week) Laundry towels bedsheets of kids Folding laundry for eight years old and 12 years old. Keep the home clean and organize Wipe bathroom counters Cooking is four days of week. Always remind kids for their activities so they get ready Vacume all home one time in week ( carpet and floor) Now My question is how Much do you charge per hour for all these tasks ? They are offering 16 hours . How much do I have to Ask ? |
$35hr and gas reimbursement |
Agreed. Because it’s so part time and that is a lot of work. This is also more of a housekeeper role than a nanny. And they should really provide a car for you to use if they want you to drive that often for them. If not, you should get more than just gas reimbursement, there is also the wear and tear on your vehicle. (I am an employer, not a nanny.) |
$40 hourly nothing less. That’s a lot of work House manager and nanny….plus driving the kids on your vehicle? I’d ask to use the family’s car instead. |
Is this more of a Housekeeper position as opposed to a Nanny position??
It seems your job duties are primarily tied up in keeping the home fires burning. Yes, there are also child-related duties involved but the main focus seems to be the home. Honestly $40/Hour seems very reasonable here for all that this job requires. Good luck. |
I don't know if I could get all that done in 16 hours. |
If you charge $40 an hour for that they’ll find someone cheaper. Yes it’s PT but it’s not skilled work. |
