What do I do?

So, last Friday ended super well and NP and I chatted about all the exciting things coming up and possibilities that we’ve both been hoping for. I’ve been with this NF for almost a year and never really had issues. We left off Friday night with the plan that I would text them once I figured out a time I could come for a date night Sunday (tonight). I messaged around 9am Saturday morning (yesterday) and they never responded. It was a chat with both NP so I can’t see read or delivered. Still hadn’t responded so this morning so I messaged only MB to ask if they still wanted to go out tonight. That was around 8:30am. I can see read and delivered and it shows it was read 10 minutes ago.

I’m just getting super super worried at this point. They’ve never EVER not responded or “ghosted” me for this long. I’m worried something bad happened with them (although we are FB friends so I’ve seen that they’ve been active…). What if I did something? I cannot think of a single thing I could’ve done especially since they were “praising” me during our chat on Friday.

Is this like normal? What do I do? It’s a little annoying because I blocked my Sunday night and now have no clue if I’m going to watch their children. Do I message again and try DB or should I just call later around 4:30-5? We never confirmed a time since they didn’t respond, but the time I gave was 6. This is so so odd! Seriously, my stomach has been in knots since midday yesterday. I haven’t been able to think about anything else. I’ve got major anxiety (no one really knows) but man this is killingggggg me.

I tend to overthink EVERYthing!!

I am guessing your bosses likely are still ironing out details or perhaps they or the kids have gotten sick.

Still…..it IS weird for them not to respond at all.

What I would have done in your situation would be to simply stop texting them + just call them on the phone at this point.
