That sounds like my employer that hired me through an agency and I have been w/ her since baby was born. Her list of things were insane. I was hired as Nanny/Family assistant when baby was just born. She was extremely ocd and had shared a list of “tasks” for me such us deep cleaning cat boxes, dusting plants, watering her several plants in her home, she even went that far to write family meal prep!! I texted them requesting a meeting/annual review. I wrote down te deal breakers such cat boxes and dusting the freaking plants, cooking also mentioned them that I was not interested in House manager position as not seeking to transition to that. Thus, i told them im NOT a housekeeper, so her “family meal prep wont be happening and suggested she hired a chef since she has an exquisite taste for food(the woman comes from a filthy wealthy family from Europe where everything she’s eaten in her lifetime was freshly made….)I respectfully but seriously talked directly to her explaining those chores will not be performed and if she needs a House manager then we’d have to sadly part ways. She took them out of the list and now she doesn’t write me shared note no more. I get paid well about 80k with about 7 weeks of PTO but putting up with her obnoxious/ocd behavior sometimes gets into me. I don’t get any for end of year(no bonus, no gifts, no cards, nothing-not that i expect but all former employers always outdid it at the end of the year) A lot of times i have to ask her specifically what she really wants b/c she is so dumb and can’t figure things out for herself. I suggest you have a meeting with the employer and set boundaries and clear understanding of the expectations and assure her that your role isn’t a personal assistant/house manager as you were hire as nanny and family assistant. IF she doesn’t back up then start looking for another position as it wont change.Best of luck!
