| Do au pairs have to pay Maryland state and local (county) income taxes? My AP was advised by her agency that she only needs to pay federal but this doesn’t seem correct to me. I believe she will owe state and county tax on top of the 10% |

| I think that's right. I believe they only file federal. |

| I don’t know if it was correct or not but my Au pair only paid federal. She used a company that apparently specializes in Au pair taxes. |
