Hi all, if this has been discussed recently please direct me to the post. How much do we tip our nanny for a Christmas bonus? Thank you and happy holidays to all |
one or 2 week pay |
Thank you. How do you decide if one or two? We moved to Florida in June and hired a new nanny so she’s been with us for six months, also I’m not sure if the range is the same everywhere |
2 week pay is the norm, some employers add Nordstrom gift card and a box of chocolate/candy. |
Since your nanny has been for just 6 months I would do about a week pay or a flat amount of say $500 depending on your finances. |
I would do $750 or 1 weeks pay for the 6 months of employment assuming you want to retain her |
2 week pay is NOT the norm. One week's pay in cash is great, especially if she's been with you only 6 months. |
One week is fine for 6 months of work, in our area it is about $1200-$1400, not 500-$750 |
One weeks pay is the norm. |
Along w/bonus ca$h, I highly recommend writing a lovely gratitude included note/card along w/it.
As a Nanny, it always warms my heart as well as boosts my morale to hear how appreciative the family is w/how much love + care I personally invest in loving their child(ren.) |
We give three weeks pay, but have had our same nanny for almost a decade.
For a nanny you've had half a year, a week's pay would be very generous. |
Most nannies get 2 weeks paid as end of year bonus; however if nanny has been with the fam for about six months then about a week’s paid along with a gift card. |
After a year I received $500 … about to quit. |
One week’s pay if nanny has worked the full year. Otherwise I prorate it. |
No they don’t. |
