Nanny Raise RSS feed

Hi,

I'm currently a nanny that's been with my current family for the past 2 years. This is the first family I've worked with in my 22 years as a nanny that hasn't offered me a raise. I want to bring it up at our end of year meeting but I'm not sure how to. Can someone give some advice on this please? I will greatly appreciate any feed back.

Thank You

I’d bring it up now. You should’ve got one after a year.

Ask for a review. Tell them you're concerned that you haven't gotten a raise in two years, so you'd like to schedule a review to find out what you can do differently to earn a raise. Then if they say you can't, or nothing, or whatever, then you know it's time to look for another job.

I agree about the review. End of year we have a sit down and they always say “we love you and we’re very satisfied with the way you care for____.” In December we will have a review again and I’ll mention it. Judging by their response I’ll know if to start seeking new employment. Thank you so much!
