Appreciation bonus

How much appreciation bonus we should pay our nanny which has been working for us 7 years?

$500 per year so $3500 which should be about 2-3 weeks gross pay.

Is this an annual bonus or a parting bonus?

Annually I usually gave one weeks pay - in cash.

Parting bonus was much bigger.

Ummm yes … she said the nanny has been there for 7 years. So 3k doesn’t seem off .

OP, I gave roughly one week's pay annually as a bonus at the holidays. I often also would get little gift cards for dinners or mani/pedis or whatever during the year.

When our nanny of 7 years left us (kids finally all aged out) we gave a parting gift of several thousand dollars.
