Facebook groups for finding nannies

Hi - there's a great parent Facebook group for the NYC area called Have a Nanny, Need a Nanny where parents will ask for recommendations for nannies and post their own recommendations. This has worked great for me during my nanny searches.

Is there a similar group for the DMV (in particular Montgomery County)? I would prefer getting a referral directly from a parent rather than someone looking for a position reaching out to me.

We essentially use our neighborhood listserv for this. We're in the district, but I bet there's one where you are.

Yeah. We're in Columbia Heights, and we're in two - Columbia Heights New Parents and U Street Tots. People also use them to sell/give away old baby/kid stuff and clothes, so they're pretty handy. I think I got those names/links to add from DCUM a while back. If you post your neighborhood (I'd start a new thread in the main section, not here in the Nanny Forum), someone will probably reply with the best list servs for you.
