What is a fair rate for a nanny caring for two kids. First two are in school from 8-3PM and third will be newborn. We are in DC. |
$30? |
I get $32 and started at $30 2 years ago. |
OP here. How old are the kids? How long have you been working for the family? |
If the nanny is responsible for the older ones on sick days and teacher work days etc I would definitely say $30+ |
$30-35 |
Yours paying the Nanny to be available to all 3 correct? So you pay for this. This gives you peace of mind for sick days, snow days, random day off days, half days etc… you get the jist. |
$30 for three?! Nannies are getting that much for one child. $35-$40. |
$32 is good ![]() |
OP here, to PP are you joking? or serious? |
$25 to start then if they’re good and stay at least a few months, can increase to $26-$27, maybe $30 by year 2.
Especially since kids are in school, they mostly work with just 1 kid. |
$30-35hr |
This rates are about 5 years outdated |
$25 is a simple driving rate. Start pay at $30 if you actually want the kids to be taken care of, not treated as cargo. |
How much experience does she have?
0-2 years: start at $20/hr 2-5 years: start at $25/hr More than 5 years experience as a full time nanny: start at $30 hr Adjust up if she has a degree in childhood dev, education, etc |
