We haven’t been going out much, and have local family who usually watch our girls. We’d like to start reaching out to some of the former daycare providers (center-based) who have occasionally babysat for my two daughters in the past. They are now ages 9 and 6 (easygoing and get along well). I want to make sure I’m paying them “post-COVID rates” that acknowledge their skills and special connection with my kids. Is $25/hour for a few hours (about 3 hours for a local dinner) OK? (Do I need to tip?) I also usually ask what dinner they want from Wegmans ahead of time in case they don’t like pizza.
Thank you, I’ve been out of the babysitting game for a while, clearly! |
You ask, they let you know if they're available, they give you their rate, you either move or or agree to a time. |
