Yearly increases!

I am curious, do nannies get yearly increase base on cost of living and performance?
Just starting my first nanny job and wanted to know whether that is normal

Depends on what’s in your employment contract. Ours does not include any required raises, but we typically give a raise each year. But it is at our (the employer’s) discretion.

Our contract is for one year. We have always given a raise in the next contract.

We go up about $1/hr each year or we give bigger cash bonuses

I am getting plus $1 per hr every 6 months since this crazy inflation thing began. At $28 per hr now and can hardly afford living.
