New Nanny here. I noticed the bathrooms doesn’t have a wastebasket. I asked the mom and she said, it’s not sanitary to have one. Where does she expect me to dispose pads and etc? I am truly dreading when I get my period. Just wondering if this is normal in most household. I have wastebaskets in every bathrooms at my house. |
I used to bring dog poo bags with me and dispose my pads and trash it with kids diapers outside. Definitely weird family |
I have been in your place before. I was nannying a Family for 1 year. This family didn't have wastebasket either in the bathroom. I felt so uncomfortable every month when my period. So I felt weird but I had to do it. I use to bring my own plastic dark little bag with me and put my pads there and then walk to the trash/diapers can or trash outside and throw them away there. Hiding it away from mom and dad.. believe me it was so weird and yes, it was gross. and I felt bad. The family didn't like to have a towel to dry your hands either; even I asked the mom for that; she just said.. they didn't like to keep towels either in the bathroom guess/bathroom; which I used. So everytime I use to bring my small hand towels from my home to keep it in hand and dry myself with it. |
OP here, What was the mom reasons not having a wastebasket? I am sorry, you suffer for a whole year. Wtf is wrong with people? |
I've also worked in a home with no garbage in the bathroom and I felt SO weird about it. They were in a high condo too so I couldn't run out to the trash can easily. I would just carry my waste to the kitchen garbage, wash my hands there, and then take the garbage out before I left.
It was so awkward and inconvenient. |
No bathroom wastebasket? Weird. Guess I'll have to put my tampon in the kitchen trash. |
No trashcan. Flush. Tough if it causes a backup. |
These people are crazy. I put a roll of Bounty in a. Bathrooms as well as trashcans. This world is full of crazies. |
No basket, no paper towels and no hand soap. I refill the empty bottle with dish soap. I asked the mom where she keeps the paper towels? She said we don't use them. Ok, I need hand towel and a trashcan.
Total silence. The baby peed on me last week, I asked to use the washer to wash my clothes. I had to change my shirt and pants, mom gave me a bag to put my soil clothes and take it home. Unbelievable! I am looking for another job. I hate cheap parents period! |
