How to help baby adjust to new nanny

We just started a nanny share for our one year old with another baby the same age (at our house) and our daughter is NOT having it. I tried to be around the first couple days, but she just clung to me the entire time. I know it doesn’t help that we are in the house, and we will try to stay out of sight as much as possible, but any other tips that helped people in a similar situation of trying to help their child accept a new nanny while you worked from home? How long did it take?

You need to leave. If you can work elsewhere, great. If not, do the good bye and kisses and "leave" and then come in the back door or garage or have nanny take them to the backyard while you sneak in. Stay in your work space the whole time
Don't come out for snack or hugs or because of a cry. Bring your lunch to your work space. Come "home" at the end of the work day and check out with nanny.

Later you might be able to be around more but right now you have to be 100% gone.

Don’t try to stay away - STAY AWAY. Have a set goodbye and basically leave (sneak back in and hide away in your office or bedroom - wherever you work and close the door. Don’t come back out until nanny texts you that she’s sleeping. Talk to the nanny about planning the activity DD loves the most right after you say goodbye.

Do this for about a month or so. Then have scheduled, consistent times when you see your child but make them very few.

OP, if you're working from home, can the nanny take them out of the house on a walk? The weather is gorgeous now. Are you comfortable with playgrounds? Stroller walks?

Even though they allow the nanny to take him for daily walks or playground. It does not change anything. Walks and playg is just take 1 or 2 hrs. The mom is there all day long. My advice as a nanny. Just stay away. Let the nanny do her job. Set a office room with a door closed.
