It has been a while b/c covid and our LCC is out of town. Our AP’s last day is on Monday. Most of our previous APs after checking also finished on a Monday or Tuesday and arrived in DC on a Wednesday. In the past, we were told the first stipend payment goes to them immediately on arrival and covers the first and final week in the program. A friend in the program says she pays another stipend payment even if the AP only works one day in a week during the final period. We always give an extra $1000 bonus at the end, so nobody has ever complained that we “forgot” the stipend. |
I think the $1000 bonus should cover it. |
It's 51 weeks of payments. So if you paid her immediately on arrival that's week one, and your last partial week or week is without stipend. If you waited a week post-arrival, then the 51st stipend week is the final payment. |
Did you have a question? |
Is there a payment for the final week (52nd) if paid for training week, and the program is 41 weeks. |
Training week isn't supposed to be paid. |
Contact your LCC. Different companies have different policies on this. APIA is typically that they are paid 52 weeks regardless of whether they "work" or not. You pay for the week. |
I don't see this written anywhere. Where does it say 52 weeks? |
If I were already shelling out a $1000 gift, I would not sweat any other final payment for a partial week. |
