Hello, I need some advice. I will officially be one year with family I am with atm. I was wondering do I ask for a raise if they do not give me one or no? Family has asked me to do preschool learning routine every day. I work 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week. 45 mins distance from my home.

Yes. You should be getting a cost-of-living raise at the very least.

Why did you take a job so far from your home for such few hours?

You should look for a full time job no more than 20 minutes from your home. Or maybe you don't want full time, but definitely look for a job closer to home.

Generally nannies get a $1 per hour raise after a year, but that's for full time. Since you're working part time, maybe you should get a $.50 cent raise.

What you do and how far you commute is irrelevant. Yes, you should be offered a COL raise.
