Please help me create a schedule for 2 nannies RSS feed

Anonymous
Nanny 1: Monday- Fridays only between 8 and 4:30pm with one day of 30 to 40 hours no less than 30. Can work until 8 pm no Saturdays

Nanny 2: remaining hours Monday- Friday and Saturdays either 8 to 12 or 1 to 5 pm. No late evenings. 20 hours a week only one day off.

Thinking of giving both Wednesdays.off. My brains fried and can't figure it out.

What hours do you need childcare?

Without that info, it's impossible to give you a schedule.

It seems odd that they would both be off the same day, if you are needing that many hours. Also, if one nanny can't work Saturdays, and wants only one day off, then wouldn't they need Saturday to be their day off?

Alternatively, if A is willing to work 12 hour shifts:

M/T/TH
A 8-8
W/F
B 8-4:30
Sat
B whichever 4 hour shift

But that would put you at 21 hours for Nanny 2 and reeeeeally long days for Nanny 1.

Original poster there are plenty of nannies willing to work all of the hours, have you asked any of them? Are you trying to avoid overtime? My previous job of 8 years was 50-60 hours a week. I had no problem working that many hours.

Glad to help.

However, I agree with the PP who stated that there are plenty of nannies who would work the full schedule, perhaps without the Saturday hours.

I would maybe try and find someone to do 12 hours on mon/tues/thurs. then another person to do Friday and half day Saturday.

You realize kids need time with their parents.

Talk to the nannies.

Nanny 1 - 8-4 Monday-Friday (since they get no lunch break)
Nanny 2 - 2-8 PM M-F and 8-5 on Saturday.

Why overlap from 2-4? Why do 12 hour days on Wed and Fri, those aren't needed. Nanny 2 doesn't want late nights.

Your schedule doesn't fit at all.

Twelve hours is too much. I think it's best to give shorter days. The kids will benefit. Otherwise, the nanny will feel tired.
