Recommended nanny agencies in DMV placements? RSS feed

Hello hive -
I'm interested in recommendations for nanny agencies in the DMV. We have used White House Nannies for emergency back up care in the past. I wasn't impressed with the options they've provided for permanent placements, though. I'm sure there are others -- please post your recommended resources. TIA!

Even if you go though an agency you still need to check references.

Put up some ads here and at care.com. Do some interviews. It may be a little more time consuming but you will say money.

Why would you call references if you pay for an agency to do it?

Care.com and check references. Agencies just charge for the their name.

Find two candidates on Care.com interview them. Check references. Have them work with you for a day or three.

You will have to interview and call references for the candidates the agency sends anyway.... I would.
