I'm interested in recommendations for nanny agencies in the DMV. We have used White House Nannies for emergency back up care in the past. I wasn't impressed with the options they've provided for permanent placements, though. I'm sure there are others -- please post your recommended resources. TIA! |

Even if you go though an agency you still need to check references.
Put up some ads here and at care.com. Do some interviews. It may be a little more time consuming but you will say money. |

Care.com and check references. Agencies just charge for the their name.
Find two candidates on Care.com interview them. Check references. Have them work with you for a day or three. You will have to interview and call references for the candidates the agency sends anyway.... I would. |
