Hey Mama's,
I would love to celebrate my husband and I anniversary this year or take a vacation we currently have a 2 year old and a newborn but when I think we might travel the baby will be older. How do you go about deciding to pick a travel nanny? |
Please top with the “mamas” |
1. Is the nanny going with you or staying with the kids while you travel? Method of finding someone, experience and personality of the nanny you need are very, very different.
2. How old will the baby be? Will the children have time before the trip to get to know the nanny? 3. How long would this trip be? Domestic or international? |
You’re missing a lot of information
So you want a nanny now for you’re travel or just for traveling? Where are you traveling and when? You said something like when baby is older. Ok so 5 yrs from now? Most “regular” nannies are travel nannies IF the nanny wants to travel. I am a nanny who travels. So when seeking my next position (last one was 8 yrs) I look for families that travel. I tell my agencies only families with at least 50% travel for the year. I am with my current client (been with for 3 yrs) and we travel 90% of the year. If you’re ready to look now look at adventure nannies or British American household staffing. |

If you’re hiring a nanny, but want the potential nanny to travel at a future date, just put in the ad that you need a nanny with a valid passport. It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in domestic travel. This will convey that you want a nanny who would be willing to travel with you at some point. |
