I've heard about APs who are rematching with families now. What an awful time to rematch! Best wishes if you are in this situation

My AP just told me today she wants to rematch. Came out of nowhere. I can’t say I blame her, but I’m not thrilled to be working full time with 3 kids (one of which is s toddler).

They didn’t sign up for the current situation and are looking for something better. While I can’t blame the impulse, I do think it’s a case of “thre trees is always greener...”

Oh my word. “The grass is always greener...” No clue what happened there.

I don't think that's true right now. Most families have seen at least one person lose their job, most families have two parents working from home, plenty of families wanted an AP but not be stuck with one 24/7 for months. APs who are looking for new families in the current climate are few and far between, families who have reasons to rematch or step away from the program are plenty.

PP stated that the AP is requesting a rematch. Many, many APs are choosing to go home. Some are asking for rematch. Most families are willing to suck it up now and outlast covid if they didn’t rematch when sip started.

It's actually a great time to rematch. We sent our absolutely awful AuPair into rematch last month and she had multiple offers.

Said AuPair just got let go after a few weeks and is now stuck in her new host families home because she can't get a flight back home. I'm sooooo glad I was able to off load her. Nightmare.

An AP I know requested rematch because the Host parents kept having playdates and people over--and not taking any precautions at all.
