When will you at pairs be arriving due to travel bans? RSS feed

Hi I was wondering
When will the government let new au pairs come back into the country?
Anybody who has au pairs, do the agency’s say anything?
I was interested in getting for after the summer, but now I’m not sure what’s going to happen

No one knows. The state department put a 60 day hold on it, but it is likely to be extended. No one can predict when it will be safe again. Maybe in a year when there is a vaccine?

I know Euraupair has sent an email saying they won't let any AP in until at the very least, June 1st.

CCAP is telling HFs May 15th will be next arrival date .... but i think that is doubtful.

What news? All news I’ve seen says 12-18 months. The vaccine process is very long and they’ve only just started trials.

I don’t think au pairs will be arriving from anywhere before September at the earliest.

You could try contacting one of the local nanny agencies for a temporary live-in, until your next AP gets there.

The news is taking about therapeutics like the malaria meds and Zpac. A tested vaccine for general use is still 12-18 months away. That said, they may "test" it on people with little other hope (and the appropriate releases from liability if it kills them instead of cures them).

That doesn’t help when all google does is tell me 12-18 months and you are saying something different.
