Nanny share payroll

Hello,

New to the nanny share process and was hoping for some input:
- Do both families need to purchase their own payroll service, or can both families share one?
- Is there a payroll service that you’d recommend for a nanny share?

You can both use the same payroll service but you'll have separate accounts. That's because you're both considered employers and will have separate employer id numbers. Your nanny will get 2 paychecks per pay period and 2 w-2s at the end of the year.

GTM Payroll Services would be a good choice. They'll also do the workers' comp if you need it. I think they waive the setup fees if both families in a nanny share sign up with them.
