I am sorry my question is not related to job
I am nanny and I divorced almost three years ago.
Now I am ready to date .
Do you guys tell the guy that you are working as nanny when you date ?
I don’t know I am not comfortable to say that I am nanny .
I was workin as Child counselors and never hesitate to tell someone about my job but I am not comfortable to tell someone I am nanny ( btw , I am making much $$$ better as nanny then Child counselors or teacher ( my friends who are teaching and making less then me )
Please please I am not judging anyone I just wanted to know do you tell about your profession ( nanny )when you date )
Thanks in advance

I mean...it is usually one of the questions that gets asked on a first date. I'm not sure how you would go about not telling someone what your job is...

It is an honest job so why should you be embarrassed?

It's tough for me to say that I'm a Nanny to ladies I date because I'm a guy...

Some women think men shouldn't do childcare, or that I won't make enough money to be a breadwinner.

But if you are a Woman you should have no problem.

I love being a nanny and enjoy telling everyone what I have the privilege of doing for a living.

If you’re ashamed of being a nanny then you shouldn’t be one.

I love being a nanny and tell anyone who asks.

Your issue is with your self-esteem, OP, not our profession.

My boyfriend's sister is a retired teacher and now a nanny. She brags to all who will listen -- including her dates and boyfriends. She is now taking care of 3 kids and not 28 and getting paid verrrrry nicely.

Is there something you’re worried about if you say nannying? Like they’ll say it’s not a real job or look at you as the help? Maybe we can give you things to say if that’s the issue.

Princess Diana worked as a nanny and didn't seem to be ashamed of this: she didn't bother telling her charge's parents she was aristocracy. She also worked as an aid in a preschool.

Being a nanny is the same as being a maid. I don't care what degrees you have. It tells me that you have no ambition as you have chosen to work in a job with no advancement and no possibility of ever having a decent salary. Yes, it's van honest job but you're still a maid.

She also knew that she would marry well and her job was more of a lark notva profession.

I’m a teacher, not a maid.

Teachers do not wash clothes, change diapers, light housework, or cook for their students.

I homeschool children age 2 through high school. Part of that includes life skills or home ec, whichever you want to call it.

FYI, preschool teachers and special ed teachers do change diapers.
