Our butler of 20 years is finally retiring. We actually kind of inherited him from DH's parents when they moved to a retirement community. DH says we don't need to replace him but I wonder how we'd get by without him. He also does my driving and generally keeps the place in good working order. He even watched the kids some days that the nanny was sick before they went to school. Although I think that tired him out pretty quick.
What to do?! |
Hire a household manager. |
TROLL! |
Hilariously obvious troll. |
This! |
I would love this to be my biggest problem. So much |
Do you have a second floor maid? Maybe she can act as butler!. You are as full of it as a Christmas goose. |
Not trying to be snarky PP - - but why do you think this posting was created by a troll? Just honestly curious...... |
Ugh, I don’t know how I could possibly survive without my butler. |
Exactly!! |
People actually have butlers-? |
Maybe the OP could promote one of her footmen to the job of Head Butler. |
You guys do realize that having a nanny is a luxury that most people cannot afford.
Maybe OP actually needs help running her household and had a butler. What is so uppity about having a butler? Why is it more acceptable in your eyes to have a nanny? I'm a nanny. I am expensive. I couldn't afford to hire myself. |
Duties of a. butler

Oooh I would LOVE a houseboy. I can think of a lot of tasks for him to do. |
