I find a position, the family has 6 kids and offering $35 hourly for 35 hours. ( very challenging position 5 boys 1 girl , light housekeeping, cooking )
Any idea what will be my net income?
I don’t have any independent and I and new employer both live in VA.
Thanks

In general you take about 1/3 off for taxes/social sec/medicaid contribution

It varies though based on how much you withhold, but 1/3 gives you a general idea

I made $33/hr 40hrs/week gross was $1320 and I came home with about $900 weekly and that’s with no dependents and living in a different state; MD state taxes are re-damn-diculous lol make sure you fill out your w-4 correctly too, because you could end up owing.

$35/hr for 6 kids plus all the other duties. You are crazy to take this job even if they pay you $100/hr.

Exactly! How old are the children, OP?

Some people like big families. I’ve cared for families of 2-7 kids, and I prefer 3+. 5 boys and 1 girl wouldn’t scare me off.
