How much direction about feeding and naps

How much direction do you give your nanny? We follow taking cara babies schedule and feed every 2 hours right now.

Certainly include her in your hopeful schedule but allow her to use her judgement in the unusual day.

I didn’t have any schedule and our nanny provided one for DC that we then followed. Our nanny is very experienced in newborn care. I would have come up with something had she not been.

How experienced is your nanny? I usually have an ongoing dialogue with parents about their goals, priorities, timeline, etc. So if I am just starting I will follow what they have been doing (unless they are doing something that is clearly not working and they want to make a change), and go from there.

I wrote out the schedule we'd established when our nanny started. As things changed, we would talk.

Sitters need tons of direction, professional nannies- not so much.
