She doesn't seem it.
Split from my husband last year and she works between mine and my exs house (Within 5 minutes of each other.). She doesn't drive but only has to get a bus. Now I am moving again and will require her to get a bus, collect my child from school, walk him to the train station and then both of them will need to travel 5 mins to my house. She said it will be extra time and expense. To get her to do this, what would be fair compensation? It's an after school nanny role. |
I would quit. Too much. |
We pay our after school nanny $25 an hour and she drives to pick up my son so we also include mileage. |
I think paying for the bus pass would help |
MB here.
That seems like a pretty heavy lift in terms of effort and hassle. Unless this nanny is truly spectacular I think this might be the point at which you cordially split ways. Otherwise, perhaps a 20% bump in pay might do it? |
You've already posted here. $40 an hour plus an uber to get your kid and back/forth to work. |
I think that is a lot re: public transportation, etc.
I think it would be better for everyone if you found a Nanny who is willing to drive. |
