Nannies, have any of you learned a new language for your job? RSS feed

I just need to acquire a rudimentary knowledge of French for my charge. Simple greetings, nouns, counting, simple songs and rhymes. I was thinking of starting a Rosetta Stone program to start unless anyone has a better suggestion.

Thank you!

Is it better than Rosetta Stone?

Good for you, OP!

I’ve heard Rosetta is good but actual classes are better. Look into your local community college.

I just do songs, simple phrases, etc. It’s not required, but I believe in exposing children to as many languages as possible. I learned from native speakers and copy the accents exactly.

If you do then you need to be paid more.

I don’t care about that. Learning another language is good for me and my future.

BTW, Rosetta Stone is great!!
