Does it matter that the phone is an older model, or should I just get something more current? |
If it works, go for it.
Keep in mind the 6S has a battery issue and you might want to get that replaced before giving to her. https://www.apple.com/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/ |
The newest you can afford the better.
Phone is probably compared more than what kind of car an AP drives in their circles. It is an AP status symbol of how cool their family is. |
This is ridiculous and written by an AP troll. If the family has lots of money, they wouldn’t have an AP anyway and be paying for a pro nanny for 5+ years. |
Our kids don't have the latest and greatest, so neither does our AP. It's not our style. In the end, APs have always mentioned how unspoiled our kids are. |
This is a little overboard. A good au pair will not care what model of phone you are providing. If you have to attract an au pair with the latest model phone, you do not want that au pair.
Most of our au pairs have had their own phones that they already have the way they want it and we just put our SIM card in. We do have an older iPhone if they want it. |
