I was talking with a family and things didn’t work out.
I didn’t meet them or talked over the phone.
We were just exchanged mails through care.com
She wrote negative review about me on care.com.
She mentioned that I waste her time.
I didn’t waste we were not agree on rate.
Anyway, how negative reviews affect job search ?
I have lots of positive reviews as well.
Thanks

I don’t have an answer for you but that truly sucks, OP. Get on your knees and thank God you never have to work for that miserable, self-important b*tch.

I would try to contact someone in customer service on care.com.

People hate careless.com.

Unfortunately care.com allows anyone leave a review. You could leave a professional reply to her review saying you regret you weren't able to agree on a rate and make it clear you never worked for her. GL OP!

Don't comment you will never work for her. Just say that you both spoke, your rate was XX and she wanted to pay XXX and you both could not come to a compromise.

"Thank you for the review. I am a bit confused by the negative feedback when we never met or spoke on the phone. During our several email exchanges, you offered to pay XXX which is far below my regular rate. It is unfortunate we could not come to a payment agreement and I wish you the best in finding a sitter who can meet your families needs and pay.

Just keep it simple and appropriate and highlight you never spoke or met. Most families would ignore something like that if you have good reviews from others who you actually babysat for. I would not think much about the negative review if there was an reasonable explanation. She probably couldn't find anyone at her rate and got frustrated.

Op here ,
Thanks again, could I request her politely to remove the review.

Yes, you can ask her to remove the comment, but she may or may not.

This would be the best solution;it doesn't help an employer to leave a negative review either. But if the review stands, any prospective employer has to read it and then discount it (hopefully) given the circumstances.

Can’t you comment on her review? I would say, dear ms. Smith, i was really looking forward to meeting with you and your family. Unfortunately, we were not able to agree to an hourly rate (through care.com messaging) that was feasible for the duties required for the position. I wish you the best in your search for a nanny.

That way the other parents who are interested in you will see that that parent was just bitter because she can’t afford a nanny.

You’re lucky you have good review to offset the bad one. I don’t babysit, and most of my families won’t make a profile just to post a review.

Even if you contact care, they won’t take it down. It happened to me too. This is what I did:
I clearly explained the situation in a rebuttal comment. Then I copied all contact with this family into a folder on my desktop. I clarified with care that they would verify that the screenshots are real, if a family asks for verification. Upon request, I furnish the folder and answer any questions.

Op here , I massage her very politely but she ignored.
She read my massage two days ago . I think she don’t want to remove it.
Do I have to reply her massage in my profile? Or wait if she will remove.
Thanks for being helpful
