If you are afraid of dogs, don't even consider this job. |
Do not take a job with dogs if you are afraid of hate dogs!! |
Op here , well I think I will be fine ( since they are small dogs ) I am confused |
All dogs bite. All dogs know if you are afraid of them. Small dogs can be just as bad a big dog. What don't you understand? |
Op here thanks for all replies. My friend has small dogs and I am okay with them . It making me confused |
If you are okay with small dogs and this job has small dogs, what is confusing you? |
Op here , It took me little bit time to be comfortable around my friend dogs. I am little confused to tell the family about that.
I am really interested in the position. Thanks |
Why would you tell the family? Just get over it. |
Meet the dogs and see if they scare you. |
OP, part of why our nanny got the job was because our dog and the nanny bonded in their first interview. When our daughter was a baby, our nanny and dog used to play together.
I would never EVER have hired a nanny who stiffly tolerated being in the same room as our dog. I wanted a nanny who considered us having a dog as a perk of the job. Who asked if they could take the dog on walks with the baby. |
Op here , I don’t think this is answer of my question. I starting treatment for this issue . I don’t want to lose the opportunity. |
OP, let's say you are fine with these small dogs but when you take them for a walk you run into Great Dane or a German Shepherd and you terrified of both breeds, what ate you going to do?
Are you getting the picture yet? |
Op here , the employer told me it’s not my responsibility to take the dogs out. ( they are not aware of my fear)
So , I will not take dogs out . Since , they told me . |
Right. Except for the day when it's raining in the morning and the dog refuses to go out and so the parents say "It should stop raining by mid-morning so would you please run the dog outside then for 10 minutes?" You're going to say no? You should not take this job. |
