I got speed ticket in dc. Not from police the camera caught my car and I received letter to pay $100.
Is it going to affect my points? Clean driving record is very important for me. Since, I drive kids to their activities . thanks |
How fast were you going?

My speed was 62 and the speed limit was 50
Thanks |
Do you always drive this fast? 12 miles over the speed limit is a lot, I would be hesitant to allow you to drive with my children. |
Nope. Only if you receive a certain amount of speeding tickets within a specific time frame will you get point. Or, if you got pulled over by the police and it was considered reckless driving, then, you could receive a point(s).
Double check your ticket. Those camera tickets will double within 30 days if you don’t pay it- DC tickets are ridiculous! |
No points. |
Good thing she doesn’t work for you. I know my driving is crazy but when there are children present I am very cautious. |
Op here , Did I ask you to drive your kids with me????? Please answer my question about my ticket not about yours views ( you could whenever I applied for your nanny position) I don’t think I ask parents what they think about hiring me for their kids. Lol Btw, I never got ticket all my life. This is first time. Whenever I drive with kids I drive very careful |
I hate driving in d.c. I love the cameras at the bottoms of hills |
There are ALWAYS children present on the roads, ALWAYS! What an absolutely ignorant thing to say! Or do the children that you are not in charge of not matter? |
I am talking about children present in my car, dummy! |
Do me a favor and honk every time you see a child present on the roads. |
Op there are no points with a camera ticket.
They do this in the hope that people just pay the ticket and dont waste time going to court. |
No hun, I’m not the dummy in this situation. I am fully aware of what you meant. You seem to be missing the point, which is that your wreckless driving can certainly impact others, including other children. |
Pp, that’s my point, too. Original poster seems to think that as long as she didn’t have kids in the car, it’s okay to drive recklessly. I stand by my original statement, I would be hesitant to allow her to drive with my children. |
