We are in a warm weather state and will be taking a vacation to a ski resort this month. Our nanny will be coming with us. Are we expected to pay for her winter clothes such as ski jackets and snow boots?
Thanks. |
Yes.
These are unexpected, large expenses for clothes she will get very little use out of in the future. |
Yes. Of course. |
Yes. |
Yep. |
Yes. You can find a good jacket and boots on sale for $100 total or less. |
What a stupid question Not only do you pay for all needed clothing but you pay everything for all her expenses! |
Yes, since she needs it for work. |
Yes, since it's not something she otherwise needs or would buy. If you want, you could give her a set amount of money (but be reasonable in your estimates of what she needs and how much it costs). |
Do you have any friends or family who could lend you the clothing? Is it possible to rent any part of it?
This resort, for example, lets you rent part of the clothing: https://tahoepowderhouse.com/ski-clothing-rental-rates/ |
For those prices you buy. |
If she is required to come, yes. If you would also be fine paying her to water the plants and take in the mail (assuming guaranteed hours) and either doing without childcare or hiring a sitter, then you offer nanny the choice of coming on the trip with XYZ covered and ABC not covered and she can decide. |
I would not want to wear someone else's clothing. You want her to go then you by new! |
I would see if you can borrow some of it. Or get it used. I think you need to provide it but I dont think that means you have to buy it all new. |
Why? My kid wears hand me downs and so do i. Its fine. |
