CC Payment method -- no more credit cards?

I heard from another host parent that if you match with a new au pair, then the only way to pay them is via e-check or check. No more credit cards?

Is this true?

If so, I will no longer use them. I use credit cards to manage cash flow/miles with merchant protection.
