I loathe my former DB. it was a weekend nanny job that I had for two years until I left under the best circumstances. I still have to see him since I am close to his wife and truly love his son. Also, my new charge and his son play together frequently.
He was a moody, self-important jerk when I worked for him and hasn’t changed. Sometimes he is engaging and great while other times he treats me like the help. I have to see him. How do I handle him? Can I call him out on his rude behavior when it occurs since he is not my boss? |
| Give some examples and ideas on what you would like to say. Then we can better guide you. |
|
When he ignores you - ignore him back. If he doesn’t say hello - you don’t say hello. Don’t engage or even attempt to engage him in any conversation but be open and receptive when he does initiate.
When he is an ass, tell him he is offensive like you would anyone else. He is not your boss. Stop acting like his employee. |
| You no longer work for him so you do not have to put up with his crap |
| you are the help |
You are an obvious troll. |
+1. A troll with obvious reading comprehension issues. |
| Treat him like any friend’s assh*le spouse. |
| Wow, I am in exactly the same situation! I ignore the ass. |
