| How feasible is it to find a nanny willing to work four days a week (Monday through Thursday)? |
| The biggest determining factor is how many hours you are offering. I think if you are offering at least 40 hours, you should be able to find someone. |
|
I think it is very feasible.
Many Nannies would love a four-day workweek, especially w/Fridays off! I know I definitely would.
|
| We were thinking of offering 40 hours spread over 4 days. |
I have friends who do this -- each parent takes every other Friday off by working a longer day the other 9 days. Their nanny has been with them for five years. |
| She needs a living wage. What are you anticipating? |
| I used to work 4/10s. It was great. I had fridays to run my errands |
| Me! It was the major selling point of my current job. I work 9.5 hour days so I am full time but still have Fridays off to see a former charge. I love it! |
| Most nannies depend on OT rates to make ends meet, but this job would not have OT. |
| That is my schedule now and was a big reason why I chose this position over two others. I love having Fridays off! |
I think it’s totally feasible! I’m a nanny and personally, I’d definitely be all over this in a heartbeat
|
| I would love this with the understanding that I would never be available Friday through Sunday. Many families who want weekend nannies want the nanny to start sometime on Friday. |
| Our nanny works 32 hrs , 8 hrs days mon - Friday. She was specifically looking for 32 hours and didn’t want a 40 hour a week position. Not sure if that’s rare... |
| Mon through Thursday I meant |
