Don’t waste your $$$$.
If you truly trust your Nanny 100%, then best to invest any potential camera money into your child’s future college fund.

| We have two Arlo q cameras. I haven’t used nest but was told very similar. Phone app is pretty good, does what it’s suppsoed to. |
|
We had a company come in and install them properly. I highly recommend getting professionals to do it to get maximum coverage.
And for the record, I trust my nanny more than any person on earth. She is the one who suggested the cameras when we first interviewed her. She wanted us to see her work as well as for security reasons. |
How many and where? |
We put cameras in the child's room, playroom living room and kitchen. We had cameras outside, for security, before we had kids. It really is a joy to be able to peek in on DD during the day! |
| Nest has been very good for us. Cameras + fire / CO alarms |

Hi, I bought the nest this weekend for my nanny. Just one camera, we've had the nanny for 18 months. It's been shocking to see how much TV my child is alone in front of the TV, and my nanny is on the phone. Anyway I degress.
When I turn my app on, the nest camera seems to blink, is that correct? I'm afraid my nanny will know exactly when we are watching. Also, we have no wifi in my office, so the view on the app is painfully slow. Same with even logging into the nest website. |
If she’s popping your kid in front of the tv and being on her phone most of the time, I don’t think she knows or cares when you’re watching her. |
Thanks for that analysis! Actually my question is really about the blinking light, can anyone help me with that?

It's supposed to do that... |
| Nannies should put cameras too in case they have strange parents |
| *strange employers |
| 12:43- who is this ridiculous nanny constantly posting comments like this on all the camera threads? This doesn’t even make any sense ! Where would you put this camera to watch your employers LOL!? Are they going to your house and watching your young child? Get a life wow |
