In other places of employment there are legal specifications limiting how video can be used. And WHO has access. Please explain. |
| Of course they can't post without your consent. It's not legal for anyone. It also goes both ways. I've seen plenty of nannies post unflattering things about their families. Unprofessional and sad for all. |
Exactly which law is that? Stop spreading lies. |
| OMG - OP, Dear, being a nanny is NOT the job for you! You are so paranoid about cameras at work and post thread after thread about it -- do not become a nanny! The job is not for you. |
State video surveillance laws. They vary slightly by state, but every state has one, and they typically limit use of the footage to purposes that are reasonably related to the rationale for it. So you can't just post it on Youtube for enjoyment, but you can provide it to law enforcement, provide it to another parent considering a nanny, etc. You can video record without consent in every state, but some states require you to notify employees if you are also recording audio. |
Who says they can't post videos without your consent? You are a Liar. |
...how about you provide the law saying other employers can’t use videos without your consent? Or what restrictions on access / usage there are? We can start from there and see why it would or wouldn’t be applicable to nanny employers too. |
Your lying is pathetic. |
+1 Find another line of work, OP. And stop calling people names - you are only embarrassing yourself. |
Actually I am a NP trying to reconcile your claims that: a) other employers are very restricted in footage of employees they can use b) nanny employers have no such restrictions I’m curious to see which laws, articles or other sources you base these two claims on. |
This is actually an entirely different person than the one who started posting about use of cameras, laws, etc. No offense to the posters on here, but your meanness is clouding your intelligence just a little bit.

I agree that your nastiness is uncalled for. Please reconsider your approach. Thank you. |
