I am taking care of two years old boy. He take one nap 2 to 4 or some time 5.
He is extremely upset when he wakes up No matter for how long he slept . I feed him before his nap. He is 35lb and very strong and hard to carry him specially when he is upset after his nap He has bad tantrums I try to play with him he push me away and just cry loudly he hit his head badly in his bed |
| That sounds to me like low blood sugar. I would make sure he has something with lots of protein before nap and I would have something like a little juice or a few crackers to give hik as soon as he wakes. Those are also really long-late naps for a kid that age. Could you try starting nap earlier to see if he might wake up feeling rested instead of disoriented? |
| Agree with previous poster. Have him nap a little earlier like around 1pm and let him wake up on his own if before 5pm or wake him up if he passes 5pm. I would have a favorite snack ready for him when he wakes up and play kid music or a story to encourage relaxation. Don't try forcing him out of crib because he may hit his head and get a concussion. I used to blow bubbles when I wanted to wake kids up at daycare. It worked because they want to come out pop them. If all this fail have parents take him to ped to see if there's another issue there. Good luck. |
| He needs to be woken up by 3 at the latest. Put him down immediately after lunch, 12/1, and at three go open his door to gently wake him. If that doesn’t rouse him, in fifteen min go open the curtains/blinds. Gently rub his back and talk slow and sotthingly...Oliver, waky waky, did you have a nice sleep? I have a juice box for you. Do that for a few seconds and give him a chance to put out of his sleep on his own. It doesn’t work 100% of the time but should help improve things a lot. He really shouldn’t be sleeping until 5!! He needs to be waking up by 3-3:15. |

Could be night terrors as well. The child is in between awake and asleep. Google it, OP. It is a phase they usually grow out of.
But I agree his schedule is a little screwy and his naps are way too long. |
NP here. Why are you saying that sleeping until 5 is a terrible idea? I’m honestly confused by this and it appears that you are arbitrarily placing time constraints. |
+1 It is night terrors. |
If he goes to bed before 10, 5 is too late... |
Can you please explain what’s night terrors? |
GOOGLE IT. |

I second low blood sugar.
My charge did this after her afternoon nap. We just ended up giving her sugar immediately and fixed the issue. |
Google it, OP - and get it in your native language so you can understand it. It is common. |
