Hello
Does every nanny get an annual raise, if so what is the amount/percent typically
Is it given at the employment anniversary or January of each year
Thank you

Yes, an annual raise is definitely expected at each anniversary. If not, I'd expect to be having a new job if there's no discussion about what's going on.

Yes, a raise is expected. Usually $1 an hour. On the anniversary of hire. Benefits - extra PTO or vacation - are also expected.

Thank you both

agree, I'm already looking for a new job. Family have yet to discuss a raise.

If the person is employed long enough, you may have to stop these annual $1/yr raises. It's important to consider when hiring what your ceiling may be, how to communicate that to your nanny, and what else you can offer in lieu.

I expect my first raise to be at least $1, ideally more. By that time I should have proven my value. But I do not expect every raise to be so substantial and would be happy with other benefits in lieu of a raise later on.
