Holiday gift/bonus as cash or Am Ex gift card?

Cash would be in 20s, which seems kind of ridiculous since I’m giving a full week’s pay as her gift. Should I put it on an Am Ex gift card? Does it matter?

Cash is more flexible. Even if it is all in 20s, you can just write on the envelope the amount to save her trying to count it before she deposits.

I don't care what it says on the envelope..... I count all money before depositing it.
