Nanny placement service?

Are there any reliable nanny placement services in NoVa? I am looking for a someone who is a little more professional and willing to pay for it. I know of White House Nannies, but I've had a HORRIBLE experience with their backup service, and never want to use them again. Are there any others?

I have used MetroParentRelief for short term nannies. I know they do permanent placement also.

I've been very pleased w/ them and Stacie (owner) is very responsive.

OP - could you give more details about your experience with Whitehouse Nannies backup service? We are considering using them.....

I am so sorry you've had a bad experience with White House nannies! I actually work for their back-up service as a nanny. I would love to know why you had such a bad experience!

I found my current family through Nanny Poppinz.

Georgetown nannies don't even do a backround on their nannies. Or pay their nannies on time.

I think some of the higher end home staffing agencies may be able to help. They're the one who have butlers, nannies, housekeepers, etc. I don't have any personal experience with them, but may be worth a call. I

All of the nanny agencies I've tried to use in the past were ineffective at good job matching. I can't even imagine how frustrating it would be to deal with them for trying to hire someone.

I've had nothing but positive experience with White House Nannies, both back up and long term. Did you speak to the owner and give her the chance to set things right by you? She has been an amazing resource for us during our searches

I am a nanny looking for work. I interviewed with White House Nannies five weeks ago, passed the interview process, background check, and references check. I have 10 years of experience and a college degree. I have not heard a single peep from them since my interview. I even emailed them twice to inquire about when they would start having me meet families. They have not contacted me about meeting a single family. I have no idea how well they do with meeting the needs of families, but they are crap at finding work for their nannies apparently. Complete waste of time for me.
