Yesterday, another mother at a play gym where I take my charge walked by me and said, "I would pay any amount of money for you." My MB just happened to be with us and she laughed and said, "Yep - I hear that all the time".
I am usually not one to go in for praise but it did feel good. Please, nannies and parents, brag! It's the end of the week and we could all use some happy stories! Don't even pretend to be "humble bragging" - just full out brag!!! |
| Nothing as good as that but my MB always tells me I am a part of the family. One thing that stuck out for me was when she said 'We know you look after him in such a special way.' about how I care for her DS. |
| Grandmother came for a visit, she stayed for about two weeks. She told her daughter that she wished she could take me to NYC with her. That she wished both of her grandchildren was in a nanny share. |
| Not quite the same thing but yesterday my 3.5 yr old charge just looked at me and, out of the blue, he said, "You're my best friend". My heart just about burst! |
| I'm not a nanny, but may I brag? Another mother told me that she would like to hire me as her nanny. |
Welcome! I think that is a high compliment indeed! |
| I weekend nanny for a two-year-old. While I always get compliments from my charge's mother, one weekend last month the father turned to me and said, "Everytime you're here my son learns something new. Thank you for being so good to him". |
| MB told me her DD would not be reaching the academic standards she has been achieving at school if it wasn't for my support and guidance. |
