I babysit this family 8 months baby for 3 months . they pay $11 hour 20 hours a week no benefit . Mb ask me to take care her older child for free when there was no school or she was sick,this lady used to leave a note on the counter asking me to put some frozen food in the slow cooker for their diner the lady was a jerk always the way she behave I use my car to drive her child spend a lot of gas they never paid for . when I told them I wasn't going to babysit any more because I got a better job . They both were very mad at me like if they feel entitle for me to watch their children for $200 a week . They where trying to forth me to stay with them the lady is very manipulative. I finish with them but I am so mad that I want to email them and tell them that they are jerks and ass holes and took advantage of my generosity. I clearly notice the way the fat lady looked at me down I am sure she behave like that because I am different race. she feel better than me they don't have the budget to pay for child care they just want nannies to help them for free . I am not a slave for that bi** abusive . Should I send her a text with all I want to say She used me . what would you do DC Urban ? I want to complain go to any organization that can help . I don't want another person get trap with that kind of jerks.

$11 isnt great but its not terrible either. I assume you knew the rate when you took the job?
The job wasnt working for you so you did the right thing for yourself and got a new job.
I would move on and try and let the resentment go. You may need them for a reference at some point.

You need to get another position and move on. And you really need to work on your English if you want to earn more, OP. There are great English as a Second Language classes offered in every country -- please take advantage of them.

Op here I am not only complaining about the $11 hour but, the way that bitch treat people . I am going to not send her a email or text but I would definitely going to contact a organization that protect domestic worker who suffer discrimination and have been taken advantage off someone has to correct those abusers that think that can get away with discrimination . No it's not it is 10.50 in California. The highest minimum wage in the USA is 11.00 per hr. Currently 2 states in the USA have minimum wages of 11.00 per hr those states are Washington state and Massachusetts.

Those jerks know that the hourly rate for a babysitter in DMV is $16 minimum I am the one who OP so they did toke advantage because they left the other child at home for me to watch all day without paying extra plus cooking , driving , etc. I hope they do not trick another person . Their kids are going to pay eventually in life what those jars are doing to the honest good people.

You AGREED. You AGREED to each thing she asked OVER and OVER. She said, "Watch my older kid?" and you said "Sure!" She said "Put this frozen food in the slow cooker?" and you said "Sure!" You had a choice. What she did was to take advantage of someone who didn't stand up for themselves. You can't change her. But you can change yourself.

You sound like a nut job. Where do you have to drive a 8 month old? $11 an hour is reasonable, especially when you probably don't pay taxes on it. The job is for two kids. How hard is it to be decent and put some food in the slow cooker. She isn't asking you to cut/clean and prep.
